I’m on a Weight Loss Journey and doing really well (20kg)

I’m an ex smoker and I replaced smoking with chocolate.

In not gorging myself on it by any means but I genuinely feel hard done by and anxious if I can’t get a fix when I want one. I’m talking a small amount like a small bar or Crème Egg

Is anyone else like this? And how did you kick it ?

Yes. Look at my username. I’m a chocolate addict and have been for 15 years. I can’t decide if it’s a ‘problem’ - I’m healthy BMI, don’t drink/smoke, eat fairly healthily other than this, not a fan of sweets or fizzy drinks. But I eat anything up to a large sharer bar of chocolate a day, usually after the kids are in bed in front of the TV. I gave up for 1 year when breastfeeding my CMPA baby, and 2 months in Jan/Feb but fell off the wagon.

@likelysuspect I know what you mean about the Green and Black sets! But I think even Green and Blacks is not what it was. I agree about the loss of quality in chocolate but unfortunately I still scoff it!

I absolutely can’t do without chocolate, although I don’t eat it every day. I buy small bars of Aldi Moser Roth chocolate and that does the trick mostly - it seems less ‘moreish’ than cadburys or galaxy - I can easily knock back a whole 100g bar of fruit and nut or share bag of minstrels given half a chance.

I used to eat chocolate and sweets, but just have a couple of butter mentoes if I want to stave off sweet cravings. It seems to be working so far. Don't crunch them or they'll break your teeth 😬

Op I am the same. Addicted. All the tricks like not having it in the house/good quality dark chocolate ect don't work for me. I don't like dark chocolate anyway so that's the same as not having any to me. I'm on mounjao and even though it's helped massively with all other food and I'm actually loosing weight, I still get very strong chocolate cravings.

Another vote for Aldi Moser Roth.😁
