What to cook for a group of 10 when you’re not a great cook?!

Got a bunch of girls coming round Saturday night, usually I will order a takeaway but decided I might cook this time - I do a good pulled pork but there are a couple of vegetarians (no other dietary requirements).
So pulled pork, spicy wedges, I’ll make a coleslaw, get some buns… but what about the veggies? Is there an alternative that can also be provided that matches the theme?
or do I scrap the idea and make something else entirely?
The pulled pork is easy because I marinade it overnight and then it goes in the oven for 8-10 hours and looks after itself.
When I say I’m not a good cook, I’m not bad but I never do it as dh does the majority of cooking for us, he loves it and I don’t. I can follow a recipe fine, I guess I’m just not an instinctive cook.
Any other ideas or thoughts?

I would stick to the pork and do veggie sausages and/or falafel for the veggies. Goes well with the buns, slaw and wedges.

Or I would make (or get DH to make!) a veggie lasagne the day before - eg the Ottolenghi spicy mushroom lasagne.

Buy a frozen roasted vegetable lasagne from Cook. An hour in the oven from frozen. Perfect

Halloumi is really easy to use, slice and dry fry it. Add a nice bowl of salad and the veggie dish goes easily with baps or buns, coleslaw, wedges etc. that you suggested.
Hope it all goes well, enjoy 😉

I would do a couple of huge tray bakes
think pots , sweet potatoes ,fennel , parsnips ,
carrots , red onions .
then one tray I’d chuck in chorizo and lots of rosemary thyme seasoned etc in both
towards the end of cooking sliced halloumi over the whole lot stick it back in the oven, throw over some fresh parsley and some lemon zest to serve bit of olive oil bread, possibly some Hummus.
green salad,
easy cheap and delicious

I had this issue and I did a jambalaya. So the main rice part was veggie and then I just had the meats and prawns on a separate platter so people could add what they liked

Stick with the pork and add a roasted corn/bean chilli and some sort of cheese.

I did the pulled jackfruit and it went down well enough with the vegans. I liked it.

Ive also been fed pulled oats which i liked but i dont have a recipe for. It was the same bbq flavours with oats in it

I like the idea of your pulled pork and sides, with a veggie main to complement it. The veggie chilli or falafel suggested above, black bean stew, veggie tagine, etc.

Probably chilli is easiest and most compatible with your sides.

A veggie chilli or pasta dish could be cooked in advance and frozen. I appreciate you'd like to cook for everyone, but I'm veggie and I'd be happy if you gave me a veggie burger (ideally the chunky quorn type ones).

Veggie here - I'd be happy with a chilli but please don't do veggie sausages or veggie burgers (I really don't like the fake meat products - sorry I know I'm not invited but.....)

The best veggie burgers are made with beans and pulses😋

What about a really tasty mac & cheese but have a little ‘build your own’ with bowls of crispy bacon bits, crispy breadcrumb, jalapeños etc..
some lovely garlic bread and a salad and boom, sorted!
