I am in a bit of a slump and find booking things even for months ahead give me a sense of purpose.

have booked Chelsea flower show and a few concerts. Anything else UK based people would recommend? Happy to be quite diverse and try new things

thanks!

Good on you!

Maybe visit random UK towns / cities and actually read the tourist info… have ended up in some v strange and quirky museums ranging from the Roman museum in St Albans to the shell museum at Margate.

see if the council or other community groups have any classes - I did sewing (gave up at week 2), life drawing (I’m truly dreadful) and pottery (I actually was quite pleased with my output in the 6 week course)

signing up to a regular volunteering might give you a bit more of a social side - in the past I’ve done communtiy gardening and must say I enjoyed the seasonal change.

i also grab cheapy seats to a whole range of shows - opera, ballet, musicals … even if it doesn’t appear conventionally appealing (I’d be happiest at a heavy metal gig tbh)

I’ve found the rspb and national trust membership has paid for itself too - and gives good day trip inspiration!

In Worcestershire, the 3 Counties Show is a major attraction. The showground also hosts brilliant garden shows a few times a year. Plenty of accommodation around if you do not want to drive home the same day. Look at the Three Counties Showground to see what is on.
Also, try NEC lots there

Thanks both - lots of inspiration!
