Ideas for creating a budget fairy garden for the children

I’d like to make a fairy garden in the garden for my kids. I can’t afford to buy expensive individual ornaments so any ideas?

Unless you are preparing it as a surprise you could get them involved in making or decorating items. Fairy doors are available to decorate from Baker Ross online or The Works shops.
You could search through their toys with them to find any tiny items like chairs, tables or search charity shops for dolls house items.
Build a shelter with a bed, plant some seedlings in tiny pots.
Get them to design what they want in the Fairy Garden.
Such a lovely thing to do. When I was about 6 a “fairy” lived in our vestibule and I was completely enthralled. My now sister in law made it so magical. We used to write letters and she replied.
I asked about clothes and one day there were some Honesty petals with a letter saying that this is what her dresses were made of.
Precious memories many years later!

I would say shein they have loads but I know a lot of people don't like buying from there. Anywhere else selling them like ebay probably get them from Shein anyway.

I agree with getting them to craft them! A block of air dry clay is very inexpensive and takes standard acrylic paint very well. You could make some lovely decorations to go alongside fairy doors and stuff

Thanks all for your ideas. We picked up the fairy doors from the works coincidently today! Wasn’t sure how they’d last outside though. We also have air dry clay so that’s a good idea to make our own.

I used to do this, often in the woods and we’d just use all twigs to make little chairs, a fire etc. a compact mirror makes a lovely pond, you can put soil around it

Moss is nice for comfy chairs

We drew houses on stones and then bought a few accessories from Poundland. We add any usual stones we find on days out, or shells from the seaside.
