Just bought a suri toothbrush abd it's horrible. It makes my hand vibrate and my mouth and comes with a warning about the ultra violet light being harmful to eyes. They dont tell you these things when promoting ut. I. Taking it vacj for a refund. In my opinion it's a very expensive gimick

I i'm also very concerned about the caution, saying the ultravier light is harmful to eyes.

I now think if you are taught how to clean your teeth properly by a hygienist then you wont need this gadget. You can also get electric flossersxabd they are called the water pick. I tried one a few years ago and found it useless. When I tried the suri it felt like the vibration of the dentists dril. Never again. Im going back to my oral B electric toothbrush

I really like mines. I have previously had an oral b one which I hated. It literally made me feel like it was going to shake my teeth right out my gums. I didn’t get one with a uv case tho I just went for the cheaper edition

dizzydizzydizzy · 02/04/2026 19:09

I love mine. My teeth are much less stained since i got it (2 years ago). I always used to use a manual toothbrush. I do dimly remember it seeming strange at first but iI got used to it quickly.

I've never heard of that brand. Did you check reviews before buying it?

We recently changed from braun to Sonicare Diamond clean. It felt as clean as when I see the hygienist and my dentist noticed the difference.

Does the brain sonicare naje your hand vibrate my oral B does vibrate abd you can change the speed of the vibration but the difference is that even at maximum speed, you dont feel it in your hand so the handle doesn't vibrate, only the brush im going back to that

I love my Suri , not sure what ultraviolet light you are talking about except the cleaning case but that’s closed so no issue . My teeth are much cleaner / whiter using the Suri than my old oral B and my gums are much healthier .

The uv light comes on when the toothbrush is being cleaned. Anyway if someone I know uses a manual toothbrush and has not needed any dental treatment for 6 years then that proves that you can do a good job with a basic toothbrush if used properly my mu. Was the same. She used a manual toothbrush and didn't gave any treatment for 3 years.

I can still feel the tension of the vibration which is quite common and can last for several minutes

OP posts:
PerkyOchrePeer · 02/04/2026 20:13

a manual brush for two minutes, twice daily, is often sufficient for maintaining good dental health.

I found this online

I i'm also very concerned about the caution, saying the ultravier light is harmful to eyes.

The toothbrush doesn’t emit UV light and the charging case only emits UV on the inside, when it’s closed, so it doesn’t They’re required to put a warning on it by law, but the light doesn’t actually reach your eyes at any point so there’s no need to be concerned.

It vibrates in the same way as any other electric toothbrush.

If you don’t like it, though, obviously just send it back. It’s not complicated. Not sure why it needs a thread.

Im currently using g a manual toothbrush and brushing for 2 minutes twice a day. I set a 2 minute timer on my phone. I did read online that if you follow this method then even with a manual you will have good oral hygiene

OP posts:
PerkyOchrePeer · 04/04/2026 17:33

brushing twice a day for two minutes with a manual toothbrush is the standard, recommended routine for good oral hygiene. It is as effective as an electric toothbrush if you use proper technique, covering all tooth surfaces, particularly at the gum line.

Why did you buy an electric one, then?

Why did you buy an electric one, then?

Ive used an oral b for years because people say electric toothbrushes do a better job. Then I found the statement that if you brush properly with a manual you dont need a electric one. Im just trying a manual to see how it goes with correct brushing as electric toothbrushes make you lazy and if when I go to the dentist next time I will tell him what im doing and ask his opinion

My grandmother had very good teeth and electric toothbrushes were not around when she was young. However my dad had awful teeth and by the time he was my age he had most of them removed. He couldn't have brushed prooerly or perhaps it was because he was a heavy drinker and drinking large amounts of alcohol every day can rot teeth.

Why do you need other people’s views on the product?

You’ve already decided you hate it and your only response to anyone’s views is to argue with them.
