Anyone seen the Pixar Hoppers? (Potential trigger for bereavement)

We are planning to go with a group to see the Hoppers movie - but I have read it has some darker themes and I wanted to check if the film is going to be too tricky for the group - adults with children 4-8 range.

I am not particularly worried about the kids but some of the adults have had an awful year (one has experienced recent baby loss and another has just lost a parent).

If you have seen the film, could you please tell me if it's likely to cause any distress to my friends? Then we can do something else instead 🙂

Thank you!

The film is based around carrying on a grandmother's legacy of protecting the environment.

Probably best to check IMBD to get the full breakdown and decide if it would be OK.

My children and I have suffered a few close losses and never batted an eyelid at this film if that helps.

Thanks - that's helpful 😊
I read the overview and thought that would be about the size of it - I will chat to my friends and make sure they want to see it.

A ton of lizard memes have made me curious!

I've seen it, I thought it was excellent! It did have some thought provoking themes, and I remember thinking it was a bit dark towards the end but it should be ok for the adults (unless any of them have been involved in a fire). The IMBD parental guide is accurate, IMO.
