Has anyone used housesitters uk to find someone to house sit?

No, but I'm a housesitter on there been sitting for about 8 years now. Love it! What did you want to know?

hi there. Just if it’s worth signing up as someone looking for a house sitter. I don’t want to have to put my cats in cattery but also don’t want them left on their own bar half an hour a day…so looked at it but just wanted to check it’s legit.

I used trustedhousesitters and have for years- our cat is indoors so nice for them to have some company, and if we're away for a week or more I like to have someone in the house for security, it makes me feel better.

Costs about £200 for the year I think, and you can post as many sits as you like in that time. Certainly cheaper than paying a cat sitter to pop in and put some food down once a day.

Hi OP, yes totally legit. I have no idea how easy it'll be for you to get a sitter, that'll depend on things like where you are. If you're in London or somewhere nice on the coast people will bite your hand off! If you post some nice pics of your house and give lots of friendly info I doubt you'll have a problem, especially with just cats. Unlike Trusted Housesitters it doesn't cost you anything - the sitters pay a sub to access your contact.
This one is the one I'm on. It's definitely worth a try and you can 'interview' the sitter before the sit, and most sitters have lots of reviews.
