Recommendations for repairing a mantel clock and cleaning an oil painting

As the title says I am looking for recommendations .
I have two items that I'd love to get sorted out.
One is a mantle clock that's approximately 60 years old that no longer works.
The other is a oil painting that needs a really good clean.
Neither one has any monetary value but both have a huge amount of sentimental value.

If you want a clock repairing you need to find a horologist. I would put "your county" horologist into Google and see what comes up, or you could ask in local jewellers or antique shops and see if they have any recommendations.

The British clock and watchmakers guild also has a membership list for repairers:

and for your painting @WormHoleInSpace this

You could search the directory on the Institute of conservation website.

You don't mention where you are, but I can recommend an oil painting conservator in London. It's best if you find a local one so you can consult with them in person with your artwork.

Get a professional to do both jobs. Neither is something you can DIY.

@Arregaithel @Ineffable23 , thank you both for them links , they look promising.

@happysunr1se It looks like icon may deal more with museum art but I will look into them to .
Of course I should of said I am in Manchester, so unfortunately London is a little far away .

@MrThorpeHazell , I know , that's why I asked for recommendations, there is no way I'd tackle it myself.
