Going to the Christmas Carol concert at the Royal Albert Hall this December.
Looking for a Michelin star restaurant nearby for dinner afterwards (will be a Sunday but don't traditional roast dinner) or a few tube stops away.
Me and DH going.
We like most cuisines.
Tia.

How many stars and what budget? Have you looked at a Michelin guide? Ramsay has 3 on Royal Hospital Rd. Gymkhana in Soho has 2

Have you tried Google?

I find it's relatively okay in these circumstances.

RipplePlease · 14/03/2026 19:12

Don’t mind how many stars or budget.

Thanks @Pedallleur
I’ll look into those.
@GretaGipyes, aware of Google but it’s nicer to get personal recommendations.

If budget isn’t a consideration, the Inspiration Table at Gordon Ramsay is the most incredible foodie experience I have ever had. The food was beyond words and the service took it to the next level. It’s an absolute once in a lifetime

Good luck getting a table at gymkhana

They open their diary a couple of months ahead- shouldn’t be too difficult if the OP makes a note remind herself to book.

Yeah, even so, I was trying to do one for a friend last year and you've literally got to be there at 6 am

Not so far from there is the Lanesborough. The resto.is excellent, I think.its Michelin but honestly if its not you won't know the difference.

Angela Hartnett at the Connaught?

Savonne · 14/03/2026 20:51

You do realise don't get it there's a Michelin website

karmakameleon · 14/03/2026 20:54

What about dinner at the mandarin oriental? It’s fabulous if you can get a table.

Wild Honey St James is lovely and perhaps 4 or 5 stops on the Piccadilly line. The sourdough alone is worth the trip.

Thanks all for suggestions.
I will look into them later.

Been to the Lanesborough for afternoon tea and loved it. That’s the kind of surroundings I’m looking for …beautiful, traditional. Not after the canteen/trendy vibe.
It seems some of the restaurants aren’t open on a Sunday…didn’t know this was a thing.
