Chickenpox and Mothers day

Well my youngest has just come out in chickenpox. Its about time really as she's 7 and never managed to catch it before now. But thats our mothersday plans ruined!! I never normally make a big deal of mother's day. But this year I decided to book tickets to a lovely day out because it was half price.

Obviously she can't go now. So DH will stay home with her while i take the older 2. Its not the end of the world. But im gutted, I was really looking forward to taking them all. I just need to vent. Dd is fine though, she only had about 10 spots and they're not very itchy, she feels fine in herself. That's the main thing really.

Ah that's a pain, what a shame. Hope she stays relatively well with it. I guess no hope of moving the tickets if they were half price?

I shall be spending tomorrow at a sporting venue watching my child do his sport. Will barely see daylight 🤣.

It's good your child has a sporting hobby though! My kids are very indoorsy, non competitive. Which is obviously fine, but id love them to have more hobbies.

Definitely no chance of moving the tickets. Luckily chicken pox dd is autistic and won't get that she's missing out. It'll go over her head at least.

Mine is too. Life seems mainly to consist of supporting his special interest sonetimes. It was easier when it was Lego!

Shame you don't get the trip out with DH though, it would have been good for you I bet. Hopefully next time hey x
