Constantly being snapped at by dh, since we got our puppy at New Year.

We already have a lovely 10 year old dog, then added a puppy to the mix on New Year's Eve.

He's just done it again now, before he went to work. He'd let him out for a wee (very lively pup so needs to be watched out there). Admittedly I was on auto-pilot, clearing up breakfast things and opened the door to put some stuff into Recycling. Puppy heard the door and got distracted, ran back in and I just managed to avoid stepping on him!

Dh has flounced off to work, saying I always do the wrong thing at the wrong time!

Yesterday he had a go at me for giving the puppy a treat, which he came running in with when dh had just got the older dog settled. Older dog then started barking for a treat, I didn't know he was in there with dh!

Last week he was attempting to get the puppy out of computer area, which happened to coincide with me getting the older dog ready for a walk. The puppy heard us moving, tipped the bin over and dh had a go at me AGAIN, in front of family who were visiting, mortifying!

For context we, and our adult daughter who lives with us, all take turns with early mornings/late night toilet trips with both dogs, dog walking and feeding. We all work, mainly different hours so there's always someone here.

I've told him I'm sick of being snapped at, and having 2 lovely dogs should be a pleasure, not a constant source of conflict.
Any advice? I'm at work later and at the moment that can feel easier than walking on eggshells at home!

Did he want the puppy?

Yes, it was his suggestion. It was me who wasn't sure how it would impact our older dog! I adore the puppy though, although it's taking time getting both dogs used to each other.
