What to buy mum when the obligatory flowers and chocolate have done their time?

I've done flowers, plants, chocolate and lunches out to death. Mum has serious eczema so skin stuff completely out the window. She has loads of jewellery but doesn't really wear it. Children have made her various bits and pieces over the years but they are 13 and 10 now.... looking for inspiration for mother's day/birthday please!

I don't want, or need, any more stuff. Take me out somewhere, feed me, whatever. I've been up in a balloon, driven a steam train, visited a stately home, seen four musicals in recent years.

Maybe you could bake some scones ad take them round in a wicker basket (thatshe can keep). You could have a cream tea/afternoon tea inside or outside depending on the weather.

If you get on well, give her something where you can spend time together; lunch, museum, gallery, manicure.
Or tickets to Chelsea flower show (expensive though) or other garden type show. Garden pots?

what about something different? Like one of those strawberry pot things with the holes filled with plants?

I’ve asked for cake!

I'm not sure ( well I'm hoping ) Mother's Day isn't a big present thing. A card , and fresh flowers are always lovely or a potted rose she can put in the garden will be OK surely. I've never bought my mother a spa day and nor have my DCs ever done for me but we don't feel short changed. Time I agree with but that depends how near you live. I'm sending my Mum a well chosen card with a proper written message about something I know she will find amusing ) and some flowers by post in colours I know she likes. I have bought her a ticket to the Chelsea flower show but that is £££££ so that was her Christmas present. She was very happy with that. 😊 Gosh do I sound awfully mean ?

I've got mine a book by an author she likes, a couple of nice tops and a little heart shaped pin dish thing with a soppy message on it. (Not everyone's cup of tea I know, but she likes stuff like that).

Thanks all, i did buy her tickets to the Chelsea flower show last year which she was SO excited about but unfortunately didnt get to go on the day so...hopefully tickets will suffice for her birthday again 😅

I didnt realise she hadn't had her feet done since her holiday last year so we're off for a pedicure and cake tomorrow. She is very happy about this so perhaps it didnt need so much thought after all 🤣 Yippee.

If be er get tired of flowers and chocolates- not expecting anything as both kids are not at home. Do you have to give her anything? If my kids were local them coming over and making us a nice lunch would be perfect.
