Best organisation apps?

Does anyone have an amazing app they couldn’t live without for organising your life?

I am terribly disorganised, messy, can’t clean etc? I put this down to being extremely busy but I have spent all morning looking for an app that might help? And a podcast too would be good?

Shelpful. I am loving it. Tailor it to speak to you and nudge you with kindness or aggressive swearing. Whatever works for you!

I’m Au and ADHD so this is a pet project for me ;)) People will be here to tell you Trello and ClickUp etc. But it depends on what you are doing and if you want so share jobs with other people.

What’s on your list? That helps nerds like me make useful suggestions.

Thank you so much!! Cleaning! Tidying! A massive piece of admin I have been putting off for months! Sorting through bags full of old clothes! Bits of work I need to do today

There will be a free trial @disappointed124so try it out.

Cleaning and tidying… break down to the smallest element of the job you can. Get cleaning products out of cupboard and put on the side. Have a little team chat with them ;) And pick one as the chosen one to be given the honour of being used first. Random? Yes. Niche? Yes. Works? Yes! Starting is hardest bit. Headphones on. Music going. You don’t want to “notice” that you are doing it…

Massive admin job? What’s the tiniest thing you can do? Who will be your buddy whilst you do it? In the room? On a call? And what reward do you get for starting it???? :)))

Just google calendar - I was always a paper diary girl but when I went back to work DH convinced me so we could combine calendars and OMG it is SO much more efficient!

And then just a pad of paper and a written list. The key with anything is to actually DO the stuff on the list, and as you’ve found, you haven’t actually done anything as you’ve spent all morning trying to find the perfect app. Just start!

I've recently discovered a woman who shares really helpful, non-judgemental tips for keeping your home clean and organised. Essentially her advice is declutter (proper declutter, or even just move things to the right place/chuck them when you see them in the wrong place), everything has a dedicated home, and then keeping things clean is so much easier. I've started following her advice and it's definitely helping. She's on instagram (https://www.instagram.com/organizedchaos4_audrey) and facebook (https://www.facebook.com/share/1CYJsVcPo9/).

I have a to-do checklist in a note on my phone of all the things that might need doing and have them all ticked so they're crossed out, then untick the ones I need so they stand out more and I can tick them when they're done (dopamine hit!). I used to have a note where I would plan by day what I was going to get done but found I never stuck to it - it helped a bit when I built in a reset day of nothing planned so I could catch up on anything I was behind on, but I do find the full checklist more helpful.

I've heard of other methods where you do certain chores on certain days, so every Monday would be sort paperwork and clean the floors, Tuesday would be change the bedding and wipe down bathroom surfaces, and so on so everything gets done once a week but in manageable chunks. Quite liked that idea but again I couldn't stick to it.

I'm not sure having an app would help me personally as I know what I need to do, I just find it hard to do it. If you find one that helps, let us know!

Trello is my favourite app. It's lists on steroids. Perfect for my needs.
