Home Insurance Quotes

My home insurance is coming up for renewal, and my current provider has increased the price by 50% . This is probably due to needing to call out an emergency plumber to stop a leak last year, and needing extensive repairs the previous year due to a similar leak the year before that.
I have had a few emails from the usual comparison websites with much better prices. My question is, will these quotes be on the basis of both these claims? Are these quotes accurate?
When I tried to put all the details in again from fresh, I struggled as they wanted to know how much the claims were for, and I don't have a figure for the second one. I tried to guesstimate it, but it came back as saying they couldn't insure me.
Please can someone advise me?

Was the emergency plumber called out under the Home Emergency cover rather than the home insurance? I may be wrong but you don't have to declare these as claims. I agree you wouldn't know how much this would have cost.

I have found Hastings/Admiral/Halifax to be the cheapest.

Thank you @Treylime , yes, it was under Home Emergency.

If you claimed on the home emergency you don't have to note it down as a claim (because it was claimed on the home emergency policy rather than the home insurance policy).

Without looking at the quotes, we don't know if the quotes include the claim details. But you'll be able to look at the quote details and see if it includes the claim or not.
