Which companies do you use for flower delivery?

It’s my mum’s birthday next week and I’d like to send her a nice bouquet from the kids. Any recommendations for the best delivered flowers, please?

I used to use Bloom and Wild but the quality became variable and we didn’t have a good experience with M&S last year.

Thanks.

I google a local florist that delivers with good reviews on google, and send from there

7238SM · 04/03/2026 12:11

I always ring a local florist and generally get their 'florist choice' bouquet, unless I want very specific colours/flowers. Most have an online option too, but I do try to support smaller, local places.

When googling, it can be tricky to actually find one locally, because they can appear to be from the area, but when you check the details, they use interflora or other big companies.

I've used M&S in the past.

Local independent florist always. I've found one near my mil who even dresses as Santa/sings happy birthday!

Yes, I’m finding that problem! I don’t live locally to her, so I don’t have local knowledge. I’ll have to dig a little deeper. Thanks.

Ime M&S's delivery partner has damaged 3 things I've ordered over the years. One of those was a replacement for a damaged item. The same delivery driver damaged the replacement.

Arena Flowers and Haute Florist have both been good for me. I have used them to send flowers to friends and family members in different parts of the country where the nearest local florist is not that local and consequently delivery charges have been high.

I think my mum would disown me if I arranged that 🤣

Say they live in Rye, I'd google 'florists in Rye'. I firstly check on google maps if the shop is actually in Rye. Often they come up and appear to be from there, but they aren't. If you could share the town or rough area, I'm happy to look also.

samlovesdilys · 04/03/2026 12:34

I’ve used next several times with no problems, also used Waitrose/JL and this time of year went Scilly Flowers (daffodils)

HoppityBun · 04/03/2026 12:36

I love Cornish blooms and have never been let down. I got fed up with Bloom& Wild. The Cornish ones are home grown, not imported

I know you said you’ve tried Bloom & Wild but my DH used them for Valentine’s Day in a letterbox format as he wasn’t sure if I’d be in. These arrived Friday 13th February so will be 3 weeks on Friday and still going strong!!

Seconding @HoppityBun’s choice of Cornish Blooms , lovely flowers, British grown, family firm, ethically packaged

skyeisthelimit · 04/03/2026 13:46

I have used Bunches for years without any problems and highly recommend them..

I received a lovely bunch of roses myself recently from M&S from a client (with afternoon tea as well).

Bloom & Wild delivered some half dead flowers for a relative's anniversary a few years ago.

GrannyWeatherwaxsBroomstick · 04/03/2026 14:06

Prestige Flowers arrived half dead and much smaller bunch than the pictures suggested. Id avoid them. Definitely try to find a local florist.

Papyrophile · 04/03/2026 14:09

In winter I always use Scented Narcissi/the Blue Box Flower Company. They have never disappointed and I must have used them for 70 or more deliveries.

ToadRage · 04/03/2026 15:06

I used interflora for years. Used M&S a few times. Bloom and Wild were expensive but my Mum said the flowers were stunning.

Look on the Flowers from the Farm website and see if there's a local cut-flower grower in the area who also does floristry (most of them do).

KnottyKnitting · 04/03/2026 15:37

My DD bought me a Freddie’s flower subscription for my birthday and they are really lovely!

Mumdiva99 · 04/03/2026 17:26

I'm currently using bloom and wild letter box. They look a bit ropey when they first arrive but 48 hours later they come into their own and last a good 2 weeks - sometimes 3.

Summersongroses · 04/03/2026 18:52

Arena flowers or M&S flowers have been good for me recently!

Bobblebasket · 04/03/2026 22:51

Freddie’s every time. They last ages! I do have a referral code if you’d like it, though I’m not sure if that’s just for the subscription or also for the one off bunches.

PoppySaidYesIKnow · 04/03/2026 23:08

Just Google search an independent florist in their area, check reviews and phone and book. Don’t use Next, they’re terrible. We have lovely local florists here - everywhere does, better for the environment and for supporting small businesses.

Dancingfairydreams · 04/03/2026 23:20

Flying flowers. Never had any problems, lovely big bunches, they have lots of offers too (50% extra, free chocs)

BeaTwix · 04/03/2026 23:23

Still using Bloom & Wild here. Feedback I get is good from recipients and I get a fair few bunches myself courtesy of friends.
