Do you or your family have a Timeshare. Check the deeds.

As the title says. Some timeshares have perpetual in the deeds
then it's a nightmare to get out of the contract.
Make sure it's NOT mentioned in the will if you want to get rid.
That holds up probate.
Our late parents had one in Spain none of us want to carry on with it.
Fortunately it wasn't mentioned in the wills.
This has been a 6 year journey to get rid and hopefully it's near the end.
The silence from the company is the worst thing.
All forms have to be filled in Spanish.
I'm going to the Spanish consulet in the next few weeks to get to get a NIE number.
Both brothers are still to get their appointments.
Then it's a waiting game for the numbers and the company will cancel

They are awful! DPS got rid of theirs luckily. Total scam.

@PrizedPickledPopcornagreed. Don't know why our parents got one.
They bought it in a place that was in the middle of nowhere.
We always wondered if they were pressured as they weren't experienced travelers.
Dad only got to use it a couple of times before he died.
Mum went with her cousin for over 15 years.
It was a shock when we realised it was a perpetual contract.

Good advice, OP. My parents had terrible trouble getting rid of theirs a few years ago but eventually managed to .
