DS is a few months old, EBF and has suspected CMPA. His symptoms aren't that severe but the doctor and I figured it was worth me cutting out dairy to see if it made a difference.
I'm now trying to buy travel insurance for a few trips we have coming up, and wondering how we go about it for him. Do I have to answer yes to the questions of whether he's awaiting a diagnosis and/or on a waiting list for hospital treatment? We've been referred see a dietician for advice on weaning, and the paediatrician later this year to hopefully sign him off from it all.
If the answer to those is yes then it looks like we won't be able to get coverage through a normal provider, and even with a specialist medical provider they'll exclude anything to do with his current symptoms - e.g. reflux and being colicky - which realistically means the insurance is probably worthless as they can argue anything those are relevant to most illnesses he could get!
I will call a few providers to ask but wondered if anyone else had been through the same. Feels a bit harsh if insurance will be a problem when his symptoms are so common in babies.
