I feel so unwell all the time

I feel exhausted all the time. I wake up and immediately want to curl up and go back to sleep, also I sometimes end up with physical pain from tiredness, hard to explain but it’s like my joints or bones are bruised and aching. I also get headaches fairly regularly that can get really bad at times, constantly feel weak and dizzy and a dry mouth most days. This has been going on for as long as I can remember but feels like it’s got worse over last few years. I feel so guilty as it affects my kids too I always feel just too tired and unwell even though I try and play with them as much as I can. I am so badly needle phobic that I’ve put off seeing a doctor for years 😖

It is a high risk area for Lymes, due to the amount of deer/tick risk. Definitely mention that you went to the doctor. Please go soon- it must be terrible feeling so ill xx

I didn’t know that! Thank you I will mention it

Sjögren’s syndrome?

Possibly - I don’t have cough, dry eyes etc but I guess it’s possible

Too low iron levels would be my first bet. My friend who's a GP says she sees many women come in thinking they got a cancer or some other deadly disease and it's the low iron level 9 times out of 10.

Are you full of oxalates @Chocolatefrosting

I felt bloody awful all the time and researched and realised I was overloaded with oxalates as a result of my diet. It took 18 months to dump all my stored oxalate and it was brutal but I feel so much better.

Have a look at a good list of foods online and check your diet. Sally K Norton is pretty much the expert on this. She was bedbound as a teen as a result of her diet.

If you’ve had a lot of stress either emotionally or a physical thing, could be fibromyalgia.

Sounds like a blood test is required.
I have a phobia of blood tests. No body understands what it does to you… it’s awful so you have my sympathy.
i didn’t get on with the cream, it just focused my attention on what was coming and made the whole experience worse for me. For me it’s not about pain so it didn’t help, if your fear is pain related then fingers crossed it works for you.
i will only go to the hospital for blood tests now as I am a tough customer to get blood from. I won’t let any trainees have a go and I have a 2 attempts rule. That way I know it can’t get too bad.
I always lie down and I always wear easy off clothes - a T-shirt and a jumper, no buttons.
And if all that fails…. It takes ages but it is possible to do finger pricks. Takes ages and probably not much help if the sight of blood is your problem but I have resorted to that a few times.
Good luck!

Hi, that’s interesting.

Would you know if the gel you mentioned would also have a useful affect on a person’s gum, prior to a dental visit that would include a needle?

I know it sounds daft to want a numbing gel to numb the numbing injection, but that effin needle is (to me) PAINFUL !!!

They do numbing gel for the gum, my dentist uses it (I go to one called pain free dentist and they use it for everyone)
