Can I see a picture of your family breakfast?

I'm having a bit of a phase of austic DS1 struggling with knowing what to eat so have taken to just shoving everything at it to see what takes. This is working for now.

I'd really love to see what you have for breakfast. We really aren't just a cereal and toast family and all enjoy feeling like we've had a meal to start the day.

Interested in friendly, realistic critiques and easy suggestions without being torn to threads please.

Picture shows... Potato waffles, scrambled egg (almond milk added), chicken, tomatoes, cucumber, apple, grapes and some flapjack.

Turkish eggs are a fave in my house -greek yoghurt seasoned with garlic and herbs, with poached eggs. Some dip ciabatta bread.

That sounds nice. Do you use fresh garlic and herbs or garlic granules and dried herbs?

You’ve inspired me to start the day with a proper meal! That’s a lovely looking breakfast

sorry, I know it doesn’t answer your question

Could you just narrow the choice down to the bits everyone actually eats?
We have either toast / cereal / yoghurt / pain au choc / croissants / crepes / fruit and if different at weekend it’s usually a cooked breakfast of some sort (tho dd doesn’t eat a cooked breakfast or eggs).

DS' weekday favourites are postage or overnight oats with a variety of different toppings, strawberries and cream are a summer favourite, stewed apple and pear his current winter favourite. He's like a bean pole so I relish getting extra calories into him and usually add peanut or almond butter and always whole milk. There's always fruit in the bowl on the table too which he helps himself to. Another favourite is toasted bagel or toast with almond butter a sliced banana on top and a drizzle of honey with a glass of milk and a yoghurt.

Oatcakes with hummus, porridge or overnight oats with oat milk - I add nut butter and some defrosted berries or cooked fruit. Sometimes fruit crumble with yoghurt.
Favourite cooked is shaksuka, I’d make it the night before, re-heat and cook the eggs in the morning.

I have overnight oats without the oats (frozen berries, greek yogurt, milled flax seeds, whole seeds and a few nuts, tiny bit of jam or maple syrup).

DH has one weetabix with milk and sugar

DS has toast and marmite

DD either has nothing or porridge.

We never have breakfast together apart from on holiday. If eating out I like all the various avo and sourdough combinations with poached eggs. I also like shakshuka (spicy slow cooked tomatoes) with feta, an egg and sourdough.

DS1 has opted for potato waffles coated with yogurt and flapjack. He will likely pick at the fruit and cucumber/tomato after.

That's an...interesting combination!

Porridge and coffee every single day apart from when I go on holiday.
