Inattentive ADHD diagnosis

I’ve been diagnosed with inattentive ADHD and I’ve seen a few posts about ADHD over the years so I’m wondering if anyone further along the journey has any advice or resources they’d recommend? I should I be getting some stuff from the assessment centre and the psychiatrist’s report at some point but I’m interested in people’s personal experiences.

If it helps I’m mid 40s, perimenopausal, and my life is pretty stable at the moment. Thanks 😊

I was diagnosed on early 40s.
Medication has helped - but as I go further into peri its effects have decreased.
Be kind to yourself- sounds like a cliche but greater self compassion has helped me a lot
There are some good books eg Queen of Distraction- I found them on Amazon. So books were more helpful than others for me.
Eating healthier and a high protein diet also seems to help me too.

Thanks 😊 I was wondering if there were some good books to read, I’ll look that one up.

I am currently on my own journey with Inattentive ADHD. I've found How to Thrive with Adult ADHD by Dr James Kustow extremely informative with some great insights into support strategies. I listen via Audible - just easier for me, although there are references to printed resources within the book. I'll look at Queen of Distraction too - thanks for sharing.
