Nah, shithole. 😉

I’ll happily take any spare tickets off your hands, in the spirit of cooperation?

It’s lovely, but doubt it’s worth 4M. Just asked DH whether to go in for it, he said too big, too expensive to run. I wonder if they had smaller, but really lovely properties would more people enter.

MonsteraDeliciosa · 12/02/2026 09:02

I think I could force myself to live there!

MrThorpeHazell · 12/02/2026 09:19

Not as ugly as some of them but that kitchen is appalling in a house like that and the "garden room" is a monstrosity - it'd be demolished before we even moved it.

Don't think I'll be buying a ticket tho'.

HappyFace2025 · 12/02/2026 09:30

Gorgeous!

ShyMaryEllen · 12/02/2026 09:54

It is very big for just the two of us, but it's the first one for a while that I would consider moving into. Financially, if we sold our current house and added the proceeds to the prize money there would be enough to pay expenses for ages, and if we lived long enough to run out we could sell up and still be in pocket.

I always think these houses are all the mega expensive ones in sometimes remote country locations that otherwise can’t sell with some fancy home accessories in! I’d rather have the cash! 💰
apparently hardly any of the omaze winners actually live in the houses and they give rental values but that relies on you finding someone who wants to rent it out!!

PurpleLovecats · 12/02/2026 10:06

I like it but there’s not much space for 4 million? It’s really only three bedrooms.

TheeNotoriousPIG · 12/02/2026 10:16

It looks lovely from the front. I am not convinced by all of the glass at the back. It would be a nightmare to clean, and possibly to keep the space warm in the winter (depending on insulation)!

For £4 million, though, I'd want to be further away from any neighbours. I like my peace and quiet at home!

OvernightBloats · 12/02/2026 10:30

Very disappointing kitchen for a very expensive house. Love the character of this typical Cotswold property but there's not a lot of inside space for 4 million pounds.

DilemmaDelilah · 12/02/2026 11:10

I like it. There is a 2 bedroom guest cottage which you could rent out as a holiday cottage if you didn't need it. It's not TOO big, only 2 floors, manageable garden. I was worried about lack of space in the kitchen but I see the 'dining room' has cupboards all along one side. I would probably use the study as the formal dining room.

Where is it though?

HappyFace2025 · 12/02/2026 11:24

I actually prefer that it isn't too large and that it has a separate guest cottage. £4 million is a stretch though but I'd still be happy to live in it for a year or two. Whatever it gets sold on for in the future would still be 'free' money even if it commanded less than £4 million!

ShyMaryEllen · 12/02/2026 17:41

The winner won't be paying £4m for it though, so it doesn't really matter what the actual value is. I always wonder who can afford to pay £15k a month for rent. That has to be a limited market, surely?

If it's not in the middle of beyond I'd happily live in it, at least for a few years. Often the Omaze houses are too remote for me though, as I don't drive and don't like solitude for too long.

What is the building at the side of the cottage? There seems to be a long annexe of some sort on the photo, but it's not on the plans.

It’s on the edge of the village and you can walk to the pub - perfect mix I think

Nourishinghandcream · 16/02/2026 08:51

It is the first Omaze house I have actually liked the look of and of course, being in the Cotswolds it is perfectly located (Cirencester is just down the road).

But that glass monstrosity at the rear.... what WERE they thinking??????😲
It would have to go and be replaced with something more traditional and in keeping with the rest of the exterior.

Kitchen looks fine to me, just the two of us so plenty of room.👍

HostaCentral · 16/02/2026 08:59

DH thought it was a bit small! However, I think it's one of the nicer ones of late. Like the annex, useful for visiting kids. Definitely going to buy tickets for this one.

damemaggiescurledupperlip · 16/02/2026 09:21

I can’t believe they got it through planning! Apart from the glass carbuncle, they seem to have merged the original entrance hall with a small sitting room to make a bigger sitting room, and turned the old front door into French windows

I’ve always thought I’d just sell it but perhaps that doesn’t make sense? Not that I ever enter!

Which village?

ShyMaryEllen · 27/02/2026 00:06

There was a link upthread, but it's been taken down now. Maybe it was incorrect? If so, my views may change, as I was pleased it had neighbours and a pub/restaurant within walking distance. I still like the house, but don't want to live in splendid isolation anywhere, much less far from home and social life.

It's in Sapperton
