14 years ago I did jury service. The second trial I was picked for was over 2 weeks and as I'd already had a week on the first trial I was already fed up. The second trial was obviously a big investigation by the police, customs etc. It had a actual name operation something. We all had bound evidence of photos, emails, there was cctv, texts and telephone records. It was insane how obviously guilty the defendants were! Their barristers didn't even bother giving a defence. Then came the jury room deliberation, we'd been instructed by the judge that it had to be a unanimous vote. So imagine our surprise when 1 jury member didn't vote guilty. I still remember his name, Jeff, what he was wearing that day, how he got told off for being late back from lunch! And how after 6 hours he realised that he had confused the people we were talking about on the cctv and oh actually yes the blokes are guilty! Fuck you Jeff! You owe me 6 hours of my life back you tool!
