Looking at march/April this year for myself and my husband. We like nice views / nice food and nice wine! Am stuck on a destination but cheapest flights are the below. Can anyone tell me any they recommend / would avoid?!

Rome
Verona
Milan
Paris
Geneva

Rome, most memorable for me.

feellikeanalien · 03/02/2026 19:51

Another vote for Seville or Lisbon. Be careful if you're planning to go around Holy Week as Seville will be mobbed then.

Davros · 03/02/2026 20:30

Vienna

Diytimebaby · 03/02/2026 20:33

Absolutely not Paris. Rome is THE BEST, enjoy!

SabrinaThwaite · 03/02/2026 20:45

I’ll add Berlin, Munich and Saltzburg.

After all, German is the language of love.

dippedydoodah · 03/02/2026 21:00

Venice or Valetta

canuckup · 03/02/2026 21:01

Meh they're all a bit classic for my liking

Dortmund??

Noodledog · 03/02/2026 21:55

Rome is my favourite city in the world. But I'd also like to put forward Verona- it's gorgeous, romantic and somewhat less touristy. I think it would be perfect for an anniversary.

Noodledog · 03/02/2026 21:55

Not Milan though.

moana1234 · 04/02/2026 21:17

Thanks so much we think we have decided on lake Garda with a day trip to Venice ❤️

Geneva is pretty pricy so you will get better value elsewhere

LlynTegid · 04/02/2026 21:21

Of your options I would say Rome if Holy Week, or Geneva. As long as you don't have to fly with Ryanair, please don't give Mr O'Leary a penny of your money.

Violetparis · 04/02/2026 21:26

Paris. Milan is dull unless you like designer shops.

AngelsWithSilverWings · 04/02/2026 21:26

From your list - Rome. But Seville would be my choice.

Perfect! There's a recent thread with lots of suggestions on it too.

Crunchymum · 05/02/2026 06:54

Rome, always Rome.

Then Venice.

Of those on your list, in March/April, Rome.

HairyToity · 05/02/2026 07:01

Rome or Paris

LittleGreenDuck · 05/02/2026 07:12

Rome. My favourite city.

HollyGolightly4 · 05/02/2026 07:14

Read the OPs update 🙃 she's going to Lake Garda/Verona

Davros · 05/02/2026 10:19

Madrid is like Rome used to be. In the good old days. La Dolce Vita and all that

Pistachiomonster · 05/02/2026 10:28

From your list I would say Rome in April. Good food, sites to see, people watching and probably some sun but could also be mixed weather.

Copenhagen and Budapest are on my hit list.

sashh · 05/02/2026 10:59

The 10th anniversary is traditionally tin. How about a trip to the Heinz canning factory in Wigan?

Obviously I m not serious.

Morethanthis71 · 05/02/2026 11:20

How about Lisbon?
So much to see in the local area - Cascais, Estoril, Sintra, Obidos. Much cheaper than the five you have suggested, although they are all lovely.
