13th birthday party help!

Please help. In a moment of weakness, I have agreed to have fifteen girls from my daughter’s class back to our house on Friday after school for her thirteenth birthday party. I have no idea how to occupy them for four-five hours. There will be a good amount of time where they are all getting ready, some dancing, I think I’ll probably have to feed them twice - snacks straight after school and maybe something more substantial later. And there will be mocktails. But realistically that still leaves A LOT of dead time. We have twister and jenga. Any other suggestions for games that they might like to play? I’m not any good at this kind of thing at all. I’m out of my comfort zone and I really don’t want to embarrass my daughter! Our house is not big at all - I’m not sure they’ll even all be able to fit in to any room other than the kitchen!

I love this idea! But I think it is beyond me. I’m working every day until the party. If I’d had a bit more time this is something I would have loved to do and dd would have loved it too.

Honestly it was really easy. You buy the pack online, download, print out, your dd distributes the character sheets to her friends and they sort out their own costumes. Done.

Making a dress out of loo roll competition, work in 2 or 3 groups with one girl per group as the ‘model’ & have a prize for the best one! The range, home bargains & b&m have cheap paint your own trinkets type thing which teens might enjoy. Face masks / foot masks.

I agree - and I don’t really want to do it 🤣 but her older sister has had a couple of birthday parties where she has run out of steam after a couple of hours and everyone starts looking at each other for something to do. They are very different characters though, and it’s entirely possible I am overthinking this.

I'm sure you are. I've not known kids to run out of steam at parties as teens. And if they do can just lounge about on their phones.
Is karaoke still a thing? If so you could have that. And computer games?

Unless they could be trusted to just go bowling or something without an adult?

I'm sure they'll have a great time. X

Glow in the dark skeletons? Get a load of those glow sticks and let them tape them to their bodies, switch off the lights and film themselves dancing? Dd did that recently at a party and loved it
