Etsy or Ebay for a seller of antique jewellery- any advice?

I've an antique Victorian bracelet which I've been given by a relative.
I won't wear it and my only options seem to be putting in an auction or selling it myself on Etsy. (I'm reluctant to use Ebay simply as I fear never being paid.)

Looking at similar bracelets it's worth around £250-£300.

Has anyone any experience of this because Etsy ? It seems to be used mainly for crafters of homemade jewellery with some 'professional' sellers like the one I've seen offering a similar bracelet.

Or could I use Ebay? I've got around 250 positive reviews from selling clothes in the past.

Anyone?
Is Etsy okay for sellers that don't have a 'shop' but a single item to sell?

Hi I have an Etsy store. I guess you can sell a single item, but be aware there are fees to pay, Opening the shop, listing fees, transaction fees etc.
of course the difference with ebay is free to sell.

On ebay If a buyer doesn't pay, they have 4 calendar days to complete the transaction, after which the seller can cancel the order for non-payment and the item will be relisted.

Thank you.

It's not so much the value of the bracelet but obviously the sentimental value too and I'd hate to be scammed.

I used ebay a lot years ago and everything was fine.
Lately I've seen so many posts about buyers not paying or saying the item wasn't received. Obviously with this value I'd send it special delivery/ signed for etc.

I hope that would be enough.

Yes, definitely send it signed for or special delivery. I never send anything untracked just to be on the safe side.
