I'm just finishing my first cuppa of the day, in my kitchen spot. The cats have had breakfast, played for a while, and vanished back upstairs. Dd2 isn't up yet.

I've already had a tidy round in the kitchen, and put the washer on for the first of two loads of towels. They'll be done soon-ish & can go in the dryer. I need to take my tablets & sort morning tablets for the week next.

The rest of the day will be spent between crafting some more of my thread crochet church, house hunting, and packing boxes. Dd2 is likely to do some revision ready for her English Language and Biology mocks tomorrow. She went to bed at 8:30 last night so I need to have a proper chat too - make sure she's not burning herself out.

We'll probably do that over tea. We're having roast pork - I need to nip to the shop for spuds I think. Definitely need something for breakfast tomorrow.

After that it'll be tidy the kitchen & showers all round. I'll get my usual Self-Care-Sunday scrubby everything shower, then have an hour or two with my book before an early night ready for work tomorrow 💤.

What about all of you? 🙂

Hello everyone,

DS has woken up with absolutely enormous tonsils so DH is going to take him to OOH GP in 10 mins. I'm going to empty the washing machine and get dressed then I'll grab a coffee. Got lots done yesterday so can have a fairly relaxed afternoon. Was hoping to get DS out for a walk but looking unlikely now. It's been a relentless round of bugs since October - not sure if that's anything to do with him being ND. Hopefully he'll be better for his holiday next week. Might pop to the shops as I need a couple of things for my trip next week. Then a bath, I think, with a pink gin. Dinner is some kind of Persian chicken thing from a Spicery kit. Have a good day everyone.

Been round to pay annual subs for allotment - £45 bargain really

Husband has decided today will be the day he conquers Yorkshire puddings - so far we are onto the third attempt , Mary Berry recipe and he’s smiling so I hope this means he has succeed as can’t face an afternoon of frustrated mantrums !

Good afternoon to you all. I've been to Lidl and Tesco. Planning on making some soup and something with chicken thighs. Ironing done and hair washed in case I'm working tomorrow- agency work. Might listen to a podcast or two. Glorious weather here. Got a letter to.post, think I'll walk to postbox. Love these threads. Good luck with viewings Lucysmam

Love this thread, I got up at 11 after 2 coffees in bed and after my massive clean out yesterday I’m now Vibted listing. I have the spring clean urge as we are about to to start a renovation and I need my space to be clear. I will walk the dogs in the drizzle and stop at the pub for a few wines before coming back and cooking my salmon for tea.

I slept late this morning, never woke until nearly 10am (I work in tax accountancy, it’s been a gruelling week!). Had a bath, tea and crumpets, tidied up, did some online shopping and prepped Sunday lunch. I’ve put a leg of pork and veg in the oven for lunch and am currently doom scrolling online. After dinner I need to catch up with a friend for a cuppa at hers around 4pm, watch last nights Casualty then head off to Choir practice at 6.30pm. Feb is a quiet month for me now the Jan tax deadline is over (but still expect some customers phoning me tomorrow saying they’ve missed it, despite my weekly then daily comms to them over the last few months).

Got up at 9.00 and had a shower
Sorted some washing out
Went to Sainsbury’s to get a few bits
Came home and took the dog for a walk
Dh is away with work
Dd stayed at her boyfriend’s last night she’s working til 5.00 then after dinner will drive back to university
Put some bits on Vinted
Made some Mediterranean vegetable soup to take to work for lunch tomorrow
Having gammon with crispy sliced potatoes, broccoli, cauliflower cheese and carrots when Dd gets back from work
Will relax later and watch tv / read
Enjoy the rest of your day everyone

Afternoon all, late to the party today.

Just finished washing and hanging all the bed linen to dry.

Homework done, baths done, cat litter trays done, meatballs marinating in homemade sauce (to have with spaghetti, salad and garlic bread later).

DC2 and DC3 and I are off to a football match later. Our local (Premier League) club were offering free tickets and it's the women's final so we nabbed a few tickets. So we'll be having a very early dinner to head out in time.

DC1 is at a friends, he should be home before we leave but I'll leave him a portion of dinner for later.

We'll be back close to 9pm so straight into pj's and bed for everyone.

Showered and sorted washing this morning. Just back from the Trafford Centre trying to spend £5.5k on jewellery. It sounds a nice problem to have but came about after I lost my mums inherited diamond ring on holiday. It was valued at £7.5k but under insured, so have vouchers to spend as part of the claim. Note to everyone to make sure that with the current price of gold your jewellery is properly covered!
DS1 nursing a hangover, DH messing about on the pc and watching football.
Collect my lovely new jewellery next week, very bittersweet as my mum loved that ring. Someone in Slovenia won’t believe their luck in finding that.

Sigh, I am not moving very fast today.

There are a couple of houses to be viewed though, and I've found a dress for Florence. Could do with shifting & packing a box or two now 🤔

Think I'll finish assembling the steeple I re-made next.

So envious you’re seeing Florence!

Good morning Lucysmam and others.

I was up early and sat in the kitchen with my coffee thinking about what I need to do today. I've done two loads of washing and cleaned the downstairs loo. I've finally taken down the Christmas wreath (dried foliage) that was hanging on the pantry door. Will gather a few bits later on and update it into a spring one. No idea why I put seasonal wreaths on the pantry door - I'm sure only me likes them! The weather here is awful, dark and pouring down. Roll on spring.

I nipped to Tesco to get a few bits for batch baking and our usual Sunday lunch. For some reason, our usually quiet country road into town is like the M11 this morning. Some driving far too fast for my liking. Whilst out, I had dropped off a few bits at Barbados charity shop and picked up a car track for 50p - hope my DGS will enjoy playing with it here next week. Just hoping all the parts are there as there's a hole in the bag!

Just me and DH for lunch today then a bit of Netflix and toast for dinner.

Hope your house hunting goes to plan Lucysmam.

Barbados charity shop made me smile 🙂
