Where to take an 8 year old and a 1 year old on holiday as a single parent?

As the title says really. If I were to travel as a single woman with an 8 year old and a 1 year old, where would you recommend? I'm no stranger to travelling, however, with a child, I've only ever travelled with my eldest (Spain and Italy) and not until she was 5, so I've never done it with a baby/toddler.

Nowhere too 'out there' as I'd like it to feel homely/comfortable enough with the baby, but somewhere 'different' enough that there's some culture and beautiful sights.

Venice or Montenegro keep springing to mind, but looking for other ideas.

A French campsite! We did that for 8 years in the dordogne. Kids absolutely loved it .surrounded by stunning countryside castles and places to see and visit. Night markets, day markets and delicious food. And find the right campsite and you'll make friends for life. We did.

There are holidays specifically for single mums. A few years ago, a friend went on a yoga holiday in Ibiza (she did yoga in the morning then chilled in the afternoon). Not sure whether that would suit you.

A yoga retreat is exactly what I need! But I'm presuming the kids are left in childcare and I don't like the idea of that. Thank you though, they look incredible!

I’d do Italy or Greece. I used to take dd everywhere when she was tiny. Your eldest is old enough to give you a hand with the baby too.

At one and eight, they’re more interested in going to somewhere with a beach, then visiting cultural
sights, which the one year old won’t remember.

I’d go for work camp, or center parks (a lot cheaper than uk ones) abroad as well, or a haven/park resorts holiday in Cornwall or Isle of Wight.

I know but we've done a beach holiday abroad 3 times in the last year with family, so they're certainly not missing out. This time, I want something different. My 8 year old is old enough now to like and appreciate things like this a bit more now (ancient Egypt would be perfect, but I'm not going there on my own with them with the baby), and like you say, baby won't remember anyway.

I looked into centre parks in France last night which looks amazing, and is also close enough to pop into Paris. That could work perfectly.

Euro camp Netherlands. They have cabins you can stay in and amazing pools and other facilities. Your 8 yo will have a ball and make tonnes of friends.

Old Town Sirmione, fly to Verona then get Airport Taxi. Opens up rest of Lake Garda. Fantastic wee place, needs to be Old Town though. Go April or October.
Hotel Degli Oleandri fab too.

They have boats, a castle, wee tiny pebble beach with swans, roman ruins reached by a little train and wee church and lots of wee shops, ice cream, pizza etc. Bus can take you to Verona, Venice or Milan and boats to rest Lake Garda.

Google ‘Old Town Sirmione’ to see images but my DC loved it.

Our best holidays when they were younger were Northumberland, so many beaches and castles, all close to each other. And glamping with Feather down farm. Can do it in France etc as well as UK. You spend a lot of time making fires etc and the 8 year old could have some freedom as tents are usually in a field.

I think I've settled on centre parks in France. It's close to Disneyland too so could do a day there, it's perfect.

Dubai: Har jagah strollers ke liye rasta (ramps) hai aur public transport (Metro/Taxi) bahut aasan hai.
