Has anyone seen the new advert for the above house. Think it is postcode TR7 1PN.
What do you think? If we were lucky enough to win would sell as the 4 storeys would be unsuitable.

I’d sell as I don’t want mansion tax and I live in Scotland so Cornwall is just a bit far to commute!

DiscoHippo · 15/01/2026 19:06

Not a fan. I don’t want a £4m house with neighbours all around me. Much prefer the ones that are a bit more deserted. That said, if I won, I’d swallow my petty prejudices and gratefully accept the key!

I like it. That view is beautiful.

Prefer the interior of the London house though, love the industrial style.

Love the view but, as with all these houses, not to my taste and where do you store all that garden furniture when it is raining or you aren’t there?

According to plans on the website there’s a big garage :) :)

It does not appear to disabled friendly and there are double yellow lines outside the property.
I think it would be very busy in the summer.

12 Riverside Drive, TR7 1PN.

I am sure this has been offered some time ago. The comment was made that people using the river can see into the property. Most likely the last owners sold it back to omaze. There often seems to be problems, eg flooding and I know a friend of mine commented about coastal erosion when the house was on the Norfolk coastline. That is no doubt how the company get the properties as they often seem to have issues that need looking at. The Norfolk house was quite near the area that people have had to leave their homes due to the dangerous level of erosion. The Cotswold one was in an area likely to be flooded.

Funnily enough a quick check told me it is most likely the one that was offered in the last few years and at the time people were concerned with coastal erosion.

It’s not the same. They don’t buy houses back and use them a second time. Why would they need to do a repeat when thousands of houses come onto the market every week?

And no-one’s fleeing from Blakeney due to coastal erosion. Go there sometime, it’s a lovely town and considered a highly desirable place to live - house prices are extremely high for that reason. .Yes, the North Norfolk coast will be in trouble one day if sea levels rise but it’s fine just now.

You can see all their past houses on their website.

To the right inside the sliding gate.

No, the one you’re talking about was in Fowey; the winner sold it privately and bought a house for about £750,000 in a similar location. Winners don’t sell their houses back to Omaze. But I agree that it’s got a very similar look to the Fowey one on first glance

Silverbirchleaf · 30/01/2026 20:00

It’s lovely, but seems to have exceeded the height of the houses around. How did they get permission for this?

I would sell it as it’s a tad too far, and buy a holiday home closer to home. Also don’t fancy four storeys.
