This evening, I have reached pique mum rage sawing open a can of disgusting hotdogs with a serrated knife after my latest (not entirely inexpensive and robust looking) Salter can opener / tin opener inexplicably self destructed itself across my kitchen.
I don’t know what is done to them when my back is turned, but I seem to go through what, I feel, is an unusually high turnover of can openers. I’m talking one every 3-4 months? I find that illogical and irrational for opening maybe 4/5 cans per week.
I’ve tried the basic metal manual ones, fancy looking ergonomic ones, I’ve tried electric ones, I’ve tried all sorts of brands and unbranded ones.
So now I turn to you, as the hive mind, for your recommendations for the Rolls Royce of can openers - the can opener brand that is the equivalent of the Dualit toaster - indestructible, long living, unproblematic - I care not about the cost nor the aesthetic!!
Thanking you in advance!
