Has anyone done the Coronation Street tour?

The one where you pay extra for the experience to meet one of the stars?

I'm thinking of booking tickets.
Has anyone done this with a wheelchair or do you feel it would be a struggle for a wheelchair user?
My teenage son has mobility problems in relation to his disability, so it helps to be aware and plan in advance. 😊

I would love to hear any experiences, who you met etc.
My son is a huge fan and would be totally star struck. 😍

Not since 1987 😆 Enjoyed it then. Bumping in the hope someone more recent will reply.

I LOVED the Granada studios tour as a kid. I have the best memories of that place. I remember my dad bought some real Newton and Ridley beers to take home.

We had cokes all round in the Rovers' Return. I was particularly delighted as a teenager with a shop they had selling repro advertising decorated things - tins and so on. I've still got a tin I bought there.

I haven't watched Corrie for about 30 years so if I went now I'd probably only know Ken Barlow and Rita Fairclough!

I went about 8 years ago- loved it! I think it was accessible. I'm sure they would be very helpful though

Paid extra for the first-hand experience and Kevin Webster swore at me because I passed him a number 10 spanner instead of a wrench. Rita said I had to work through my lunch because I put the wrong supplements in Ken's newspaper

A lot of the tour is cobbled (obviously) so it's would depend on how easy it would be to move the wheelchair over them. We saw Kirk as our star, he was really friendly and happy to chat for a moment but you don't get a lot of time with your star, mainly just photos. I didn't really think it was worth aot extra although it was a good birthday treat. The tour is brilliant and you can use the lift to get to the museum upstairs.
