If your dog is a cross breed, which breed do you select for insurance purposes?

I’m only allowed to choose one of the two? How do you decide?

TIA

Is there not an option for mongrel? My cat was listed as "moggy" on his insurance.
Edited for typo

I picked cross breed but then it asks me to choose a breed. I’m not sure why you can’t add both of them.

Does it say something like 'select the breed that is dominant'?

I can't remember who out insurance is with right now but we were definitely able to put down 'mix' or something like that because our Dog is a Romanian rescue and we have absolutely no idea where to start with what breeds are in him and I would definitely say it's more than two.

See if one of the breeds is cheaper to insure than the other?
A bit like car insurance.

With my cross breed it asked what she was a cross of and I went with the breed she most resembled
It's also the breed that tends to have more health issues

It does though I’m not sure what to choose. We just got him today, from his owner and only learned a few days ago that we were getting him so I haven’t had much time to consider insurance.

We have the same type of dog and there were three options - choose a breed, cross breed and mixed. We also put mixed.

It’s daft isn’t it as surely there should be a space to put 2 . mine is a cross between 2 and I ran the quotes through with both and one was a few quid cheaper so I went with that , no issue when I had to claim .
