Is this too expensive on unnecessary things?

Hi everyone,

I have just moved to a new house and wanted to decorate the children’s playroom, after purchasing everything I now feel guilty and feel like I’ve spent too much on unnecessary things and could have spent that money on more important things.

I bought wall decals (multicoloured patterns and yellow and white small fake panels), a fake window backdrop for their play kitchen, four animal prints, silks of different colours (Sarah silk style) for pretend play, and bunting.
They were all really cheap individually but it came up to ÂŁ40.

Should I cancel my order and spend it on more useful things?

Thank you

I think ÂŁ40 was reasonable unless you are completely skint.

£40 is fine unless you’re absolutely skint. Don’t worry about it, everything will look nice

It sounds like it'll bring you and your children joy, so don't feel guilty at all! So long as that money wasn't needed desperately for food or bills.

Sounds lovely and it will give a lot of pleasure!

Unless you are struggling for money, it’s only £40. If you’d said you’d spent £400, I would have thought it was a waste.

That's so sweet, a fake window background. Your children are lucky to have you and ÂŁ40 is really not much to brighten the place up. Enjoy.
