Any good weather forecast apps

I’m currently using the iPhone and bbc apps. Woke up to a good covering of snow in Gloucester yet nothing was forecast! Are there any reliable weather forecasts apps or websites out there?

I usually use met office

Met office here as well. Website, not sure if there’s an app. Rainfall radar is pretty detailed and imo accurate for predictions.

AccuWeather is ok
VeryWeather has a snow tracker which is quite cool
Netweather is another one that has the radar you can look at.

It would be a brave supplier who would guarantee their app was more reliable than another...the weather simply has a habit of being unpredictable to a greater or lesser extent.

There's also another whole issue that what you get can be very dependent on local circumstances..e.g. snow verses rain can be very dependent on your elevation.

TBH the best bet is probably to refer to several apps/sources, not just one and try and visualise some sort of average, or if you're pessimistic plan based on the worse forecast...

Met office does have an app
I also check BBC and Accuweather and then take an average of the 3 😆

BBC Weather is a joke. Don't know why, met office seems a bit better, both are pretty bad at forecasting rain accurately. Don't understand what "40%" chance of rain means, I want to know if it will or it won't.

Try the Netweather radar app, then you can actually see the rain coming!

The forecasters can't always tell you that, especially if it's a showery situation rather than frontal....all they can do is give you a rough idea off the odds.
