Can I use cake batter that has been in the fridge for 6 days

I made a massive amount of cake batter last Tuesday night but then my oven stopped working so I couldn't use it. Since then I have been too busy to either fix the oven or do anything else with the batter. I should have put it in the freezer but unfortunately I was too flakey.

It's dairy free but has 4 eggs. The cake batter tastes fine and looks ok. Just a bit thicker. I have just put it some of it the microwave for a couple of minutes in a mug and it tastes ok. It's actually risen really well and is quite light.

I am not worried about taste but if it is safe it is safe to eat and more importantly can I give it to dh and the kids (3 and 6) without giving them food poisoning?

If I cooked it for longer than 2 minutes (I have seen conflicting recipes) would it kill any germs?

Yes. Put it in the oven and cook at 180° or whatever your recipe says and there is no chance of the bacteria surviving it. If it has gone off, it will be safe to eat but the taste/texture may be compromised. Probably taste lovely though.

Thanks. The oven is still not working so I am using the microwave to make mug cakes. Not sure for how long i need to hest it to nuke all bacteria

It needs to reach 75°.
If you have a thermometer you can use it, if not I'd assume it had reached 75° if I couldn't hold the side of the mug.
To be honest I'd happily eat the cake mix raw, but accept some people prefer clear rules about food safety. 75° is what you need.
