Driving with L plates

So DS is driving and the car has L plates on. I assume I am ok to drive without removing the L plates every time? I am a bit concerned as I go up the motorway on my commute.

There is no metal on the back of the car so that one is stuck on.

it doesn’t matter, you still need to remove it.

We have magnetic ones and have always taken them off until the last 2 weeks when dd is coming up to her test and driving it most days. We’ve become a bit lazy but I’d assume that a single driver would be the responsible adult rather than the learner. I’d remove for motorway (but our closest motorway is 45 minutes away on a clear day).

I also had a non magnetic car when my dd was learning but we still took them off. It takes seconds.

Actually was just thinking about this! The magnetic L plate for my DD doesn’t stick to the front of the car which has weird angles as part of its design so I drew one and stuck it on with tape (having lost the magnetic one at a roundabout). And today I realised it was still on the car as it’s a pain to keep peeling it off and resticking it. I will remember to removed ut though.
@sorrynotathomethat is unnecessarily aggressive.

The magnetic one kept flying off the front of our car so we’ve had to use masking tape to help keep it down. The rear one is self adhesive to the inside rear windscreen and we take them off when DD is not driving.
