Would you expect a discount on a rented room if away for 6 weeks?

Just as title really.
Room in HMO occupied for several years and tenant on extended holiday/ visit to family.
Rent includes bills.
Tenancy Agreement only mentions needing to let Landlord know if away for more than 14 days.
Would you ask for/ expect a reduction? If so how much would be reasonable?

No. I might offer a small discount on utilities if their not being there meant they weren’t using them.

We once had tenants who decided to go on a big long haul 6 week trip and expected a rent reduction because they wouldn’t be there (but house full of their stuff! ). They couldn’t get their head around why I said no!
I rented for 20 years and I can’t imagine even thinking about asking! So unreasonable.

I appreciate everyone’s comments.
I was a little surprised at the request as he is normally a reasonable person.
I am not going to reduce the rent for several reasons; his room is still being heated (as far as I know. It is locked and I don’t enter bedrooms), I doubt he’s turned off his fridge/freezer, it would be almost impossible to quantify any reduction in water or electricity usage for showers or washing, especially as some of the others were away for a few days over Christmas.
Additionally he has only just asked for this, and now I come to think of it when I refuse I will remind him of the 3 occasions where he had one of his brothers to stay for a week. I didn’t expect him to pay extra.

Nope, can you imagine asking your mortgage lender to do it, bloody cheeky if you ask me, I’m also a landlord, just wouldn’t do it.
