Sleeping problem incl cats and other stuff!

I'm really struggling to get to sleep at the moment. I've had problems with this for years and years, but now my cat is contributing too. Normally I just have to contend with my over active mind and chronic pain. Now one of my cats has decided he wants to cuddle when I turn the light off. Two sleep on my bed, they're siamese and very needy. Cat one will eventually get bored when I don't stroke him and move away, but as soon as I move he's back. I move around a lot, trying to get comfy! Added to this, he wants to knead my face because he's so happy to be near me!

I've tried shutting him out, but the room I can shut them in has a glass door and so he can see out and also he can open doors. Even if he doesn't manage to open it I'm stolen up regularly by him jumping at the door handle, making a racket which probably disturbs my neighbour too. I'm at a bit of a loss.

I’ve never tried this personally, but would a next to me cot thing attached to the bed work? I know it’s quite OTT, but what can you do when our demanding cats get something in their head

It's an idea but he'd just jump out. He very much wants to be touching me.

Sorry, can’t seem to be able to edit the post, these cots can have an edge taken down, so if your boy will be happy with you reaching an arm out to him, it may work? Or, he may just want to be fully you, and if so, maybe someone else will think of a better solution, hope you find one x

I’m not sure there’s much you can do but remove his paws from your face and gently say no. Then try to get him positioned so you can rest your head on him, like a cushion. If he likes it he might purr you off to sleep.

I think he wants to be laid against me, he curls up in my arms, the big soft lump! However I position him, he still reaches out with his claws to knead my face.

Do the cot with a heating pad, that will definitely win over pets in bed with you (sorry not sorry).
