Tell me the truth... Is Santa real?

My DS7 has just said this to me. I asked him what he thought and he told me it doesn't make sense and he thinks probably not. He's currently in the shower.(Way past bedtime we've been at a party) Should I tell him? He's 8 in January if that makes any difference. He has a little sister who I know he will love to keep Santa alive for so it won't make much difference overall .

If he is really, then he forgot to drop down my chimney this year.

Not necessarily! A dd at around 9 asked me straight out, so I told her.
In her early 20s she told me she’d been dying for me to deny it, so she could go on believing a little longer.
I so wished I had! 😰

If you chose not to believe in santa, then he won’t bring stockings for you 🤷🏻‍♀️

The kill joys on this thread honestly make me feel sad for your children.

It doesn't kill any joy though. DS has been just as excited about presents and Christmas in general since he found out at 6. It really doesn't matter whether he thinks there's a magical man who flies or not.

I don't remember it being any kind of big deal when I found out so I didn't think it was when DS asked.
