Best cordless stick vacuum?

We have a shark stick cordless vacuum at the moment, it is about 3 years old but I really don’t rate the suction on it. I compared it with a plug in Miele and the Miele was so much more powerful, I just can’t deal with the plugging it in and lugging it around 🙈 I’m after a combo of what we have now.. easy stick but I loved the suction of a plug in Miele? Can anyone recomend?

I love my corded Dyson, but the cordless really isn’t the best. It’s fine on wood, but it doesn’t deep clean rugs and carpet well at all. Battery life is disappointing too.

Another vote for Miele and Samsung. And the Shark PowerPro Flex Pet, which surprised me as I don’t rate their corded vacuum cleaners at all.

Can those who have recommended Miele, Henry etc please link with the model they are using? I'd really appreciate it

Another vote for Henry Quick- excellent suction, long lasting charge, and no mess emptying thanks to the pods which last forever.

I love my Samsung Jet but I wouldn't recommend it for a very large house unless you have a secondary battery at the ready. It only lasts about 20 mins before it needs recharging.

reallyneedareset · 27/12/2025 12:31

I’m interested in the Henry but worry I’d need to buy pods all the time. I have a shedding dog and a full house clean with a corded shark completely fills the canister with hair.

JDM625 · 27/12/2025 12:35

Other than shark, are any of these recommendations any good for hair? I'm the one that moults, not the dog, and I'm sick of trying to cut the hair off the rollers.

I've literally just bought one of these, as I'm really disappointed with the stick vacuum cleaners and I hate my upright shark.

I am the same!

And me! I'm really interest in the Henry but my OH is put off by having to replace the pods. I know it says that it compacts everything, so they last a long time but I'd love to hear from a real life user, to how long they do last before you have to change it.

I have Miele cordless, Triflex HX2, and a Miele corded. Both are great quality. The corded one is still going strong after 12+ years and the cordless, linked below, is over 5 years old. The cordless is used multiple times a day (pets) and picks up cat litter with ease.

Are you any closer to choosing one??!! I'm not 😫

Ginmonkeyagain · 28/12/2025 10:18

Another vote for Henry Quick, it is much more robust and powerful than a Dyson. The charge lasts a lot longer as well. We have had ours for over a year and have only used three of the six pods you get free when you buy it (caveat we have a pet free two bed flat and not all the rooms are carpeted).

PinkRug · 28/12/2025 10:20

I learnt cordless is not the way, they don’t have the power. But shark loses its power if you don’t change the filters regularly too.

I’ve got the corded shark detect XL now. I couldn’t look at another cordless again

After having Dyson for years we got a Ryobi one that seems to work very well (at a fraction of the cost of a Dyson!)

I've FINALLY bought a stick vacuum after months of deliberating! I reviewed lots of brands and it came down to these:

Miele Duoflex cat/dog. £449. 3.1kg,79dB, 2yr warranty, no bags, 55min run time

Henry quick pet. £339. 3.2kg, 77dB, uses bags/pods, 60min run time

I bought Uninell UV5 £117 on amazon (£165 last week), 3kg (I just weighed mine. AI said it weighs 4.5kg- it doesn't!) no bags, 45dB, 65min run time, hair wrap to cope with my hair, lights and stands up on its own. Extension pole to reach the ceiling or for taller people.

I've never owned a stick vacuum, so maybe these features are the norm? I was dubious because I've never heard of this brand. I read that its cheap due to lack of advertising. Time will tell. It only arrived yesterday, but so far, I'm very pleased.

I bought this one too about 8 months ago. Hence why I am on the look out for a new one. The battery/suction is terrible and there are no attachments that are suitable for stairs really.

I sincerely hope you are having much better luck with it but keep the guarantee in mind! 🫶🏻
