Head injury - brain bleed

Just wondering if there's anyone out there who's got experience of this. How did it pan out? Did you or someone you know have an operation straight away or need one sometime after? Also, was there any long lasting damage.

A friend’s little girl. She has a scar almost ear to ear, over the top of her head. Proper racing her into the hospital carrying her and screaming for help as she was in and out of consciousness kind of situation. she’d fallen off playground equipment hours earlier. She made a complete recovery with no deficiencies at all.

I hope your loved one is ok.

No advice but I know this organisation was massively helpful to a colleague OP, whether it's you or someone you care for.

Headway - the brain injury association

Headway is the UK-wide charity that works to improve life after brain injury by providing vital support and information services.

Thank you. He was given the choice of whether he wanted to have surgery or come home for monitoring, but turned it back to them as to what was best. Obviously, they'd have taken him if absolutely necessary, but I half wonder if it was a case of the less on the list for Xmas Day the better.

He's ok, but has a headache, tired, feeling a bit dizzy (that could be medication though), but no worse.

Just make sure he does as little as possible - sleeps whenever he needs. It's not mind over matter, his brain is inflamed, sleep is when it does it's healing.

Any deterioration or new symptoms, straight back to A&E.

I'd def chat to Headway for more advice. Such a worry for you, I hope he is being a good patient. Flowers
