How much do you tell your friends ?

If you get new nails do you send them a pic ?
If you have your hair done do you send a pic ?
Do you tell them if you've treated yourself shopping ... or wait to let them comment when they see you wearing something new ?

I don't tell anyone anything. Not sure why. I've gone to a new hairdresser today, just had a trim and blow dry. I've not told anyone in conversation/passing or specifically

Oh I do! I have one WhatsApp group that has my two best friends on it and we chat a lot. Send each other daft things, including pics, all the time.

No not the things you describe, we send pics of achievements/special occasions. And will chat about anything that’s happening but it’s usually more like stuff at work/ partners/ kids or any difficulties we are going through.

Just say no and don't overthink it.

Yeah this is quite normal in my circles, it’s just chatting and having fun. Lots of posters being faux-flabbergasted about this for no real reason other than to be obtuse.

Or maybe not everyone is the same as you.

There's no need for the absolute shock some people seem to be having that others may, yknow, actually chat with their friends 😂

I would exchange pictures of nails and hair etc with my DD1 and she reciprocates. Not my friends though.

I tell everybody everything. Butt, and it's a big butt, I am bigly important and do important things. I win beautiful made-up awards, and name buildings after myself. I have my own song (Nellie the Elephant) and I get all my family to join in loudly with the chorus at every Thanksgiving Dinner.

My mum, definitely! And sometimes my bestie, I don't care that I'm the odd one out on this thread, my best friend lives at the other end of the country and we text multiple times a day. It's not like she will see my hair or nails.

Also loads of my friends show me their nails or hair, in contrary to this thread! And we're all 40s.

I wouldn't send the things listed in your OP, but I suppose it depends on what type of things you and your friends are into, and how often you see each other.

I mean, the most recent pictures that a friend and I have exchanged were of her new ducks, our attempts at baking, our dogs, something funny at work, and cows! Other friends don't tend to send me photos unless it is work-related or something funny or only applicable to that person.

It depends on the kind of friendship. One of my friends and I bond over nails and hair, so we always send pics to each other and/or show it when we meet at work. If that wasn't the case, I wudnt have.
