Any ideas how I can do GCSE maths on line ..or the equivalent
But also sit the exam on line ..
Everything I've looked at I have to go to an exam centre to sit the exam
Is there anything where I can do the whole qualification at home

I thought there would be a way, as an adult ,I could get a qualification without the exam hall situation

There is, with Functional Skills.

You can do it from home or in a room where there's other students with needs similar to yourself. That's GCSE. If there's a different more accessible route for you but not officially GCSE, then I would go with that.

I have done one to one invigilating and my son is autistic (he preferred a room with computers and other students).

I wish you all the very best. It's all possible now. Good luck 🤞

I studied maths for years with the ou loads of choice for different maths modules, starting pre gcse and going up to level 3. Degree level. I was a complete novice and always being lazy and failing at school.
i treated it as a hobby, no pressure and ended up with bsc (hons).
if you ask the ou for advice they’ll tell you what you need to do for gcse equivalent.
during covid exams were online and worked so well that I think they’re gradually moving to all online.

You can do functional skills exams online but you will have to be in an exam centre for invigilation.

I thought people might cheat doing maths exams at home but the ou makes it impossible. Questions are more about understanding than a right or wrong answer. So lots of writing and explanations neeed and you can get a good mark if you make a calculation error as long as you show understanding.

Check out A Star Equivalency. It's an equivalency certificate rather than GCSE, but can be sat online at home with the online invigilator.
