How do I set the timer on this heater?! Very boring thread alert 😁

My room is really cold so I like to plug this heater in for an hour or so to warm the room up a little, but I hate having to get back out of bed to turn it off! I’ve also fallen asleep with it on before and woken up at 3am feeling like I’ve been boiled alive.

There’s clearly some way to time it as there’s a dial with pins, but I just don’t know what on earth I’m supposed to do with it. I’ve tried Google and YouTube and am still none the wiser!

Please could someone explain it to me like I am 5?!

Ask Chatgpt. If you have the make and model number of the heater it will tell you how to do it.

My old boiler had one of these. You put the notches down to the time you want it to come on and then put them up to the time you want it to go off. Turn the knob until the little arrow is at the point of what time it is now. Or as copilot / chat gpt with uploading your photo

Ok the dial is 24 hour clock, 1 is 1am, 17 is 5pm, 22 is 10pm etc and then each of those combs is 15 minutes. So if you wanted it to come on at 11:15pm you'd push up the little red comb just after 23. Then follow suit with each little comb, till you want it to stop say 2am. Then from then all the other little combs need to be down.

Looking at it you might need to organise all your combs to down first.
Plus that little switch on that dial that's on the I needs to be flicked up to the little clock icon

@chilliheeler123

  • The large top dial controls the heat settings, indicated by "0", "I", "II", and "III".
  • The large bottom dial is a thermostat for adjusting the desired room temperature.
  • The red light indicates that the unit is currently powered on and heating.
  • The dial on the bottom right is a programmable timer, allowing the user to set specific operating times.

Does this make sense 🥵 😉

I hadn’t even thought about ChatGPT, this is now the first time I’ve ever actually used it. But the time I’d faffed about asking it, @JaquiRussell had explained it perfectly!

I’m tucked back up in my bed, hoping I’ve set it correctly 😂😂😂

Thank you MN, I really do love this place sometimes. Have a wonderful night, everyone.
