Hopefully nearly retired.

Blowing around in the ether I imagine; It’s highly unlikely I’ll still be alive aged 144!

ThatKhakiLeader · 01/12/2025 17:00

Il be 84. So hopefully dead, as il never be able to retire.

WinterHangingBasket · 01/12/2025 14:56

Well this says something about the demographic of mid-afternoon MNers.

Also most likely dead.

But if they find a way of putting us all on a server we can still be on Mumsnet in 50 years time!

Idontknowhatnametochoose · 01/12/2025 17:13

My ashes will be long gone with the wind.

mbosnz · 01/12/2025 17:14

Thoroughly deceased.

Radiator981 · 01/12/2025 17:14

Potentially dead but although my family don’t have healthy long lives we do have long lives! I knew 4 of my great grandparents!

Radiatorvalves · 01/12/2025 17:29

Very probably dead. I’m in good health but doubt I’ll see 110 🤣

ChristmasMantleStatue · 01/12/2025 17:31

I will be 104. I will have just returned from a boozy lunch with my friends and looking forward to leaving for a Paris clothes-buying trip that I will be going on tomorrow.

ChocoFroggie · 01/12/2025 17:32

Dead

Floisme · 01/12/2025 17:34

I’ll be 138. Or dead, which is outrageous but there you are.

SusanSHelit · 01/12/2025 17:36

Hopefully retired but the way the world is going probably still shuffling my patients along with our Zimmer frames.

Or maybe I'll be fit as a fiddle, walking for miles a day and wild swimming. I'll be 70, so really either is possible.

I'm aiming for the latter though

nocoolnamesleft · 01/12/2025 17:40

Yep, dead.

Twoshoesnewshoes · 01/12/2025 17:40

I’ll be showering my atoms amongst the wildflowers and bumblebees.
probably
I hope I’m not shuffling around at 99!

Cat1504 · 01/12/2025 17:40

Dead

ABeerInTheSunshineMakesMeHappy · 01/12/2025 17:43

You are obviously a lot younger than most people on this thread! @OneUmberJoker

tinytemper66 · 01/12/2025 17:45

Dead unless I live to 118!

clamshell24 · 01/12/2025 17:47

Very dead indeed

WonderingWanda · 01/12/2025 18:05

Probably dead. Between now and turn I hope very much to watch my teenagers grow up and follow their dreams. Myself and dh will downsize and reduce the stress of work. Maybe I will become one of those ladies who does sewing and goes to craft fairs. We might get a sea view for a while and a dog and do long coast path walks. Then I guess as we get older we will need to move back to civilisation, maybe a retirement flat. Absolutely terrified that something will come along and prevent that view of my future because frankly life has been a hard slog and I would like a peaceful retirement. Given the toll my current job is having on my health I'm more likely to have a heart attack.

AGreenWitch · 01/12/2025 18:35

Dead or in the Guinness Book of Records.

ImWearingPantaloons · 01/12/2025 18:48

I’ll be dead. Very very dead.

TheeNotoriousPIG · 01/12/2025 19:25

If the retirement age in the UK keeps rising, I'll still be working! Also, farmers never really retire, so... hopefully, I will still be bumbling around on a tractor somewhere! (And probably still scaring people, because I seem to be considered a novelty around here, as I am a FEMALE and in charge of a tractor with wheels that are taller than I am!)

NotrialNodeal · 01/12/2025 19:26

Likely dead. If not, dying.

knackeredmumoftwo · 01/12/2025 19:27

Dead

dynamiccactus · 01/12/2025 19:29

I'll be 106. So I could still be here, but far more likely, dust in the ground.

Edited to say I think the longest any of my relatives have lived is 101.

JaquelineHide · 01/12/2025 19:30

Dead.
