Good Morning Everyone! What's everyone up to today?

I'm just drinking my first cuppa of the day, in my kitchen spot, after snuggles with boy cat in bed 😊. Girl cat came slinking out of dd2's room when we got up, so I think she slept in there. They've had their breakfast (meat and biscuits...hungry this morning!), and boy is now wandering the house being loud <sigh>.

Both girls are still sleeping, although dd2 apparently had an alarm set - I've just heard it vibrating upstairs. She'll be down shortly to break the peace, I imagine.

We're having a moochy kind of day today. Nowhere to be, and nothing in particular to do, other than making sure dd1 makes her 5:30 train back to London for the last two weeks of uni before her Christmas break. She's almost done a whole term already!!

I think I'll make and freeze the gingerbread house dough, and maybe edit my Christmas Tesco order this morning. Nothing too taxing.

This afternoon, dd2 wants to cook a simple roast but I'm not entirely sure when she took the chicken out of the freezer - it seems a bit more frozen than I would expect at this time of day 🤔. She also needs to make sure her homework for the week is done - she was on with some of it as I left yesterday.

Once we've eaten, and dropped dd1 at the station, it'll be an early shower for me and an hour with a book. I'm not hungover, but definitely sluggish & know I had more than two drinks yesterday!

An early night for me will follow, ready for the start of All Things Christmas at school this week 🎅.

What about all of you? 🙂

It's a gorgeous day so I've actually sat in the garden to have my breakfast, my neighbours chickens have laid some absolutely stonking eggs (seriously they're the size of duck eggs!) so I had one of them poached on toast.

I've just bit the bullet and bought some rainbow fairy lights - when I first moved into this house I swore we'd only have colour coordinated Christmas decs and warm white lights, I have since realised that's boring and not me at all so rainbows this year 😁

Nothing planned for the rest of the day except trying to spend as much of it as possible outdoors since this nice weather probably won't last.

Happy Sunday everyone!

I've had a productive morning and was up, had my everything shower and two coffees before 9am. One lot of bedding stripped and is currently in the wash.

We went into town early because it starts getting manic this time of year and the run up to Christmas so we were in M&S for early browsing at 9.45am. We picked up some ham and a fresh baguette so have just come home and had that for an early lunch.

DDs are now watching a film and DH and I are just pottering. We've got roast beef for dinner which I'm looking forward to and then it will be I'm a Celebrity and bed with my book.

DGC just been picked up and am now putting my house back together and savouring the peace and quiet! DP is prepping steak and salad. Planning to sit down shortly with a large glass of much deserved wine and lunch and then it will be a bit of tv, prep for work tomorrow as I am in the office and an early night

I’ve just finished brunch - last nights curry as I messed up my meal plan as my son is coming to visit later to help get the Christmas tree tomorrow so making Hungarian Goulash for us later. I couldn’t eat it all so dog got a nice second breakfast!
I have to make sure the guest room is in order then I’ll start on the goulash - it takes an hour and a half in the oven and as I’m collecting him from the ferry (three hour round trip) I need to cook it then heat it up when we get back. While it’s cooking I need to sort the downstairs - living on my own (DD is away at uni) and the housekeeping certainly gets neglected! I also need to figure out where to put my yarn stash as the tree goes in that spot. So then son collected, dinner and we will binge watch Stranger Things.
If I have time I need to get my figures to my tax accountant!

I’m waiting for husband to finish making breakfast and watching tv with daughter. Later we will go to the gym and leave the kids together in the house, before having a roast beef dinner and some pudding. We have half of Wicked to finish watching too.

Good afternoon @lucysmam and everyone.

I’m not quite sure where the morning went. Had a lovely chat with my best friend in Australia earlier with my first cuppa. Then had a slice of toast and another cuppa. Helped DH sort out our log cabin - it’s new and will be a gym. Electrics and air con/heater went in this week and he just needs to do the floor with the preservative - we should have done that before lots of muddy boots went in and out really. So I vacuumed and mopped. Not sure it made much difference but it will all be hidden under mats. Then we got all the Christmas stuff down from the loft. Not planning on doing much with it today but it’s down.

Then I went to unload the dishwasher and put the stuff by the sink in to discover it hadn’t gone in last night as wasn’t full. So managed to get everything in. Feels like a mini win for some reason!

We have a new rug being delivered for our sitting area tomorrow so I’m planning in washing the floor this afternoon. And I’ll dust the sitting and dining areas so we can get the Christmas stuff started tomorrow.

I also need to do some Christmas shopping for DH and DS. BUt I’m stumped. Don’t want to buy a load of stuff just for the sake of it.

Dinner will be chicken - it’s a Nigel Slater recipe - with roast potatoes and veg of some description. Some wine and something on tv. Need a new series I think.

@gingercat02 lando better win! I have a sneaky suspicion Max is lining himself up for another championship. My nerves could do with Lando sorting it out today.

My pub roast was bloody lovely, but couldn’t manage it all there was loads on the plate!

Good Morning Everyone! What's everyone up to today?

Went for a coffee this morning with DP then I went to the gym and sauna. Home for breakfast and some decluttering. A load of laundry. Popped out to the farmers market for a late lunch and to pick up potatoes. Hoovered the stairs after we had the hallway painted yesterday. Now watching a bit of the arsenal match and whilst preparing dinner

I didn't end up doing anything much because of my nose running every time I've tried to do anything (I blame waiting around for buses on Friday due to my part of the metro line being suspended for 5 days and Friday being an office day).
So I did manage to have a bath and wash my hair and put some Aveeno moisturiser on my feet.
DS and DD took a taxi to church as the metro wasn't running and I wasn't up to going out. They went for coffee in the church hall straight after the service and leek and potato soup was being served so DD was pleased with that.
I think they went into town shopping after that, DD has returned with a nice red party dress for herself and DS isn't back yet.
I finished my book, 'I wish it could be Christmas every day' by Milly Johnson and I did try putting some socks away but every time I've tried to do anything my nose has started running so I've basically sat with hot drinks, a bag of chocolate eclairs and my laptop most of the day.
I watched Superluckydi's Prize Unboxing but I didn't feel very motivated. Then I discovered DD has started watching the current Celebrity Race Across the World without me! So she's watched the first one again, with me.
I did manage 1 unload of the dishwasher then my nose started again so DH is doing our tea of a roast dinner now.
