£8000 to spend on a car

What should I get? My main priority is fuel efficiency and reliability. I have a really old Polo at the moment.

I mainly drive in London but with the odd motorway journey so do want something that feels safe on long drives and isn't underpowered.

I am looking at Skoda Fabias, possibly Toyota Aygo though not sure about long journeys with that. What else would be a good option?

Hyundai I10. Voted most reliable car in lots of awards.

I had 8k in 2022 and bought a 2014 Hyundai with 6k miles on the clock.

Mine is 1.2 litre engine so feels okay on the motorway.

Toyota Aygo has a really small boot. Worth going to the garage to get the look and feel.

AygoX? Slightly bigger than the Aygo.

I'd say a Dacia. We're on our 3rd one now and never had any problems.

Get a mini.

For 8k?

Terrible choice for a widely derided and wholly unreliable car.

Wouldnt touch one with a shitty stick.

toyota, Hyundai, Kia are most reliable
although I’ve had 2 polos which have never given me any trouble
