Am I over supplementing please?

I'm on the following supplements which I take once a day. I have been on this combo (bar the magnesium) for around 10 weeks now and feel much better, more energy, better skin, improved sleep. I was deficient in vitamin D wth my blood results last year and did start taking it but dropped off. I started taking the magnesium 2 weeks ago as I read that increased chocolate cravings are down to magnesium deficiency. I'm on Mounjaro and shouldn't have been having these cravings.

Vitamin B12 1000mg
Vitamin D3 1000iu
Folic Acid 5mg
Magnesium 1200mg
Omega 3 fish oil 1000mg

I'm a 55yr old female. I don't have any bone issues. I'm at an elevated risk of dementia due to previous medical history (head injuries and long term gabapentin useage) hence the folic acid.

Am I over supplementing? Thoughts?

When I was deficient in vitamin D I was told I needed 10,000iu of D3 daily (along with K2 to make sure the calcium ends up in bones and teeth not arteries), B12 if you were deficient you should have as an injection. If not deficient you shouldn’t need to supplement it unless you follow a vegan diet. Folic acid is correct for the B12. I don’t know about the others.

I'm a big fan of supplements. Sounds good to me though I'd personally recommend a lower magnesium supplement that is combined with calcium and D3 as they help each others absorption and if you experience rapid weight loss with jabs you're at heightened risk of bone density loss. Also I'd recommend a good full spectrum multivitamin. I'm a PT so look into supplement science often. People think they don't need them but often with stress, pollution, significant weight loss, and so on, we do actually need them. It's a great sign you're feeling better.

Doesn't look bad, I'd make sure your dietary calcium intake is adequate (there are calcium intake calculators on line) and add calcium for bones if it's on the low side as well as weight bearing exercise.

I think you’re fine. Maybe add in some collagen?
