Ages ago we had the Dove advert which showed a woman being made up and then having her photo taken, then the photo being manipulated so that she looked thinner, more attractive, taller etc than she really was. This was to counter all the images in magazines where we were being presented with pictures of perfect women. Now most people are aware of the use of photo editing.

Don't worry about how you don't look like the perfect person on the internet because the chances are, they don't look like that either.

What a load of crap. Anyone that thinks a model in an advert looks the way they do without photo manipulation is an idiot.

Touching up photos to smooth skin of actors and actresses etc has been done since the the 1930s and probably before then.
