Wondering if anyone has had the same experience or how I can handle my current ordeal.
I had a NHS dentist that I waited 3 years for as I was on the dental list. While I was pregnant I had hyperemesis and it’s ruined my teeth. Three years later I’m getting around to having the damaged fixed BUT my dentist has refused to do half of the work on the NHS. Two of my molars (top and bottom) have a hole near the gum line at the front of the tooth and my wisdom tooth has quite bad decay all on the same side.
The dentist has informed me that they will not be filling the holes as it’s deemed as cosmetic work and will need to pay privately for that if I want it fixed. I have literal holes.
For my wisdom tooth they have said for me to have it removed instead of filled as it’s “easier” I don’t want it removed. I have enough room for all my wisdom teeth as I had this issue with my last dentist.
they wanted to remove all four of my wisd teeth as they were “impacted” I asked to be referred to the dental hospital and they dragged their feet. I had X-rays done to which they said there is no issues with my wisdom teeth and that they are growing straight and I have enough room.
I can’t afford private dental care which my dentist knows however keeps pushing this. She always seems in such a rush too
