How long do you think this will last?

DD(13)'s phone has been drying in a bag for 48 hours. She's had to take her physical bus pass and, shock horror, wear a watch.
When we went to turn it back on, she asked me to keep it! She says it's been much more relaxed and easier these past two days. At the moment her phone is on my bedside table and her plan is to come and ask me when she wants to check it.
How long do you reckon it's going to last? I'm thinking 24 hours!!

Drying in a bag?

Good for her!

It'll last until one of her mates mentions something on Snapchat I imagine.

*bag of rice.

She doesn't have snapchat, just what's app.

Would you be happy with her going out in the evening in this weather (snow here atm) without any way of seeing if the buses are late or being able to contact us? Or any weather really. I'll feel a bit stupid insisting she takesmit If she really wants a break from it.

I think music will be the breaking point!

Good for her.
Our pupils use YONDR pouches at school and they are happier for it.
And yes, I'd let my DC not have a phone. Like we managed using bus timetables at bus stops.
